Oak House Studio on TV

Just a heads up that Lynnda will be on HOCHANDA TV tomorrow - March 1st at 10am and 1pm - with lots of Oak House Studio goodies.

Here are a few of my samples made for the show:

This one features all 3 stamps on the 10am show - the Clematis Tower, Clematis Corner, English Garden Text plus Friendly Words all coloured with the Pure Colour Inks.

I used Powder Blue Pigment Ink to stamp the Clematis Tower above and finished with the Friendly Words.

This is another sentiment from the Friendly Words set framed with gold embossed Clematis Corner and Triple Fruity Red ones.

I love the simplicity of this one- Daisies and Words in the 1pm show.

And if you want colour then how about this.  I used the Daisy Border with a selection of Pigment Inks, cut it in half and added the words.

Here I've used the Outline Daisy on vellum  and used French Lavender Pure Colour for the background and ribbon etc.

And lastly these two cards using a pipette to drop Pure Colour Inks on watercolour paper and adding a suitable sentiment.

Hope you like my cards and if you want to see more, tune into HOCHANDA - online or Freeview 39. I'm sure Lynnda has some great demos planned.

L for Leaves

Here's my next postcard for The Craft Barn's Alpha Dictionary Challenge 2016 where the next letter is L.   My chosen word is LEAF.

I've gone for a lemon background using Citrus Yellow Pure Colour and stamped the Sycamore and Mountain Ash leaves (from Oak House Studio's Lynnda's Leaves set) with Triple Meadow Green Pigment Ink to give an ombre effect.  I've gone around the edge with the ATC Linen stamp using the lightest green - lime!- and added the dictionary definition and L Thicker.

Quite a simple one this time but hope you like the bright yellows and greens.  Thanks for visiting and for commenting - they are much appreciated.

Red Pelargoniums

Well it's wet and wintry outside so I thought I would stay in and make a card for the Less is More Challenge week 263 - it's a ONE LAYER week and the theme is STEMS.

I decided to use this Pelargonium stamp from Chocolate Baroque's Flora and Fauna set - I've just stamped with Onyx Black Versafine and then coloured with markers and a water brush.  It wasn't until I tried to colour it I realised how many stems this does have!!  The sentiment is from Oak House Studio's Friendly Words set inked with Vermillion Archival.

Hope you like and thanks for popping by.....you are always welcome!!

F for Fairy

Here's my next postcard for The Craft Barn's Alpha Dictionary Challenge where the letter is F and we have to use a HEART somewhere.    I had a read of my dictionary and had 3 choices - Fluorescent Flowers (did in 2013) or Fair Isle & Fabric but I've chosen to do FAIRY in a Fantasy Fairyland with Flora & Fauna and a Fence.

The background is Shaded Lilac Distress Stain and I've used a Lavinia Fairy set inked with Onyx Black Versafine, plus Orchid and Purple Pigment Ink to create the scene.  I drew on the fence and some hearts and added a little sparkle to the wings and butterflies etc.  It's just finished with the F Thicker and the dictionary definition as always.

Hope you like my fairy scene.  Thanks for visiting and for your comments - they are  much appreciated!!

The Undecided Bride

A Save the Date card made for the bride who hasn't decided what colour to have for the flowers and bridesmaid dresses for her wedding!  Seriously it's a card made for the Less is More Challenge where the theme is WHITE ON WHITE.   The challenge has been going 5 years now so congratulations to Chrissie and everyone involved.

I envy people who can do a classy white on white card so thought I'd have a go.  I've used white leather look card for the base, white linen card and embossed with Holographic Super Sparkle powder to create a little texture.  Stamps are from Oak House Studio - the English Garden Text, the flower outline from the Double Daisy set and Save the Date from the Wedding Words set.  I've used silver card for the mat which could easily be changed to add colour.

I've also seen that the new Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge asks for text stamping - you may not be able to read it but I think it creates great interest on the background.

Thanks for visiting and for your comments - they are always gratefully received!!
