Here's another card for the Less is More challenge 56 using SCRAPS. I was watching the Olympic Rings floating down The Thames this morning and realised I'd stamped the rings months ago and not done anything with them!!
The rings were stamped with Journalling Circles and I just made the backgrounds using a variety of ink pads and brush markers on Oak House Studio's Union Jack palette stamp.
Whilst I had the stamps out I had a go at Kiss Stamping using Brilliance Inks but the photos aren't good. There is so much Union Jack material out there I went for the pinky/bluey colour scheme.
This last one uses the Mack Rose stamp and is more Cath Kidstonish!
Thanks for looking.

Life
Here's a tag I've made for Hels Sunday Stamper challenge 194 with the theme of LIFE.
It's been glorious these last few days so my thoughts turned to spring. It had to be bright colours so the background is Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door Distress Inks swooshed over clear embossed butterflies from TH's Fairytale Frenzy set. I then used a paler version for the stamping - the Life phrase from TH's Stuff to Say set and Crocus from Elusive Images/Chocolate Baroque.
My crocus aren't doing too well this year but the snowdrops are still trying to flower. And the daffs are nearly out. All seem to be confused as to what they should be doing. Guess now they've announced a drought here in the south-east we'll get months of rain!!
Oh well best enjoy the sunshine whilst we can!!

Dream a little Dream
Here's a little card for the Less is More challenge 56 with the theme DON'T SCRAP IT.
I have to admit I do challenges to try and use up bits in my box - had a search through and pulled out some bright bits - the scalloped circle was left over from another project and I just clear embossed the Sketchy Flowers and Leaf stamps (Oak House Studio) on the scraps of card. Then looking for a base card I came across a strip left over from making a 6 x 6 card and decided to use that.
I stamped Dream down the side but think it would make a pretty Thank You notelet. Thanks for looking.

Stitch in Time
Here's a quick card for Hels Sunday Stamper challenge 193 with the theme of Stitch in Time.
Well as Oak House Studio have a stamp set called Stitch in Time I just had to use them. Here I've just stamped the stitching ones and the cross stitched sentiments with Brilliance inks to create a sampler style card, but there are buttons in the set too. Check out the post below as I used the same set on last week's Less is More challenge too!!
Now I'm off to do h@*@@**k having been away for a few days - oh the joy of it all!!

Less is More - Stripes 2
Here's another One Layer Card featuring Stripes for the Less is More challenge 54.
Whilst rummaging for the tiger stripes I came across this Oak House Studio set called Stitch in Time - I've used a variety of inks with the satin ribbon, cross stitch and blanket stitch stamps to create the stripes and then added Best Wishes in cross stitch font from the same set.
This set makes a great sampler type card for anyone with stitching friends!! Thanks for looking.

Less is More - Stripes
Here's a card I've made for the Less is More challenge 54 - One Layer Cards to include Stripes.
I just blended some Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink to create a stripe and then overstamped this with some Tiger Stripes from an Inkadinkadoo set called Animal Skins. The sentiment is from the Darkroom Door Word Block Journey set.
I'd forgotten I'd got this set (till I saw Zoechaos's Zebra stripes) but thats the beauty of challenges - gives you a reason to rummage in the boxes!! Thanks for looking.

Art Journal - Filled with Love
I came across The Craft Barn's Art Journal Challenge and thought I'd have a go. The theme is Filled with Love, so hearts filled with what you love.
Have to say I've never done this before but I do love making Distress Ink backgrounds - they always turn out differently hence the UNIQUE ART. I also love stamping and heat embossing. I don't have a journal so just used an A4 sheet of card which I can bind into a book later...as I enjoyed creating this page I'm now thinking of doing the House challenge from last month.
Anyway I've used Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany Distress Inks spritzed with a Craftynotions Pink Lustre. There's a Glimmer Mist Screen in the background too. The stamps are from Oak House Studio - Harlequin, Mack Rose and Walesby Flourish - and the writing is my own and definitely the hardest part of the page.
Thanks for looking - I'm off to see if I have any house stamps!!

Hearts
Guess what - I made a tag for Hels Sunday Stamper challenge week 191 with the theme of Hearts.
The tag is just swooshed around in Broken China, Spiced Marmalade and Pine Needles Distress Inks spritzed with gold Perfect Pearls. I overstamped this with Tim Holtz's Love Wish Dream stamp and Oak House Studio's Walesby Flourish (well it was still on my table, so had to use it again!).
The heart was left over from my Kiss Stamping experiment last week - love the mottled look of this one. I covered it (accidentally) in a really thick layer of Glossy Accents, shaped it a bit with my fingers cracking the glaze and then blended Vintage Photo DI over it.

Aqua
Here's a very simple DL card for the Less is More challenge 53 based on the colour Aqua. It's a difficult colour - is it more green than blue or vise versa? I'm not sure but I went with the closest ink I had.
I've used Oak House Studio's Walesby Flourish stamped across the card - I was going to add a heart or flower but I think less is more!!
Thanks for looking.

Kiss Stamping
Well it's a glorious day here but too cold to go out and as I received a new stamp in the post I thought it would be rude not to have a play.
It's a torn edged Heart Palette Stamp from Oak House Studio and as you can see from the images it's a solid palette stamp designed especially for Kiss Stamping. It's great fun and loads of different looks can be achieved. For the first set of three I used the nice juicy Colour Chemistry Ink Pads - Powder Blue and Forest Green.
Here the same Heart Palette has been kissed with the Mack Rose stamp inked with Forest Green.
On the hearts below I've used Orchid with a silver Walesby Flourish stamp, and Valentine Red with a gold Mack Rose stamp, plus some Inspirational Words.
Really the possibilities are endless - it's just great fun to get your stamps out and keep stamping and inking. If you're interested in learning more, Lynnda is teaching a Kiss Stamping class at Bishop Burton on February 11th - check out www.vip-stamping.co.uk/workshop-dates for more details.
What to do next to keep warm - well I'm thinking that heart would look good triple embossed with some glitter and micro beads added!!
