Peace Rose
Here's my little work of art for the Show us your Twinchies Challenge Blog where the theme this month is FLOWERS.
I've silver embossed the Medium Rose stamp from Oak House Studio and watercoloured it in yellow and pinky-red to represent a Peace rose. I've added a little sparkle with Sakura Stardust pens and finished it with a handwritten label and black matting.
It's amazing how much detail you can get in a 2" by 2" square of card!! There's some great ideas on the blog and you still have about 3 weeks to enter......so get out those scraps of card and have a go!!

Love Heart
Here's a twinchie for the Show us your Twinchie Challenge where the theme is Love is in the Air.
I've made a shrink plastic heart - stamped the Heart Palette with Rocket Red Brilliance and then once it'd dried, I overstamped it with the English Garden Text in Blazing Red Stazon. I remembered to punch a hole before shrinking the plastic and just added a few fibres. I've gold embossed the edges of the twinchie and added the sentiment (all Oak House Studio stamps).
Twinchies are very addictive and it's a challenge to get as much detail as possible onto such a small space. If you've never had a go, then now's the time to start - check out the link above. Meanwhile thanks for looking!!

Autumn Twinchies
Just had a quick play and made a couple of twinchies (2" by 2") for the Show us your Twinchies challenge no 7. The theme is anything goes but as it's getting autumnal I thought I'd go with that.
The background is an oddment of green card swooshed through some leftover ink on the mat - Vintage Photo, Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn and Barn Door Distress Inks spritzed with water. I cut them to size and then gold embossed the images from Tim Holtz's Mini Blueprint set. Luckily all the stamps on this set are less than 2" square so I'm sure they're all going to come in really useful!!
I've finished by blending some ink round the edges and adding a little more colour to the images with a waterbrush.
Hope you like and thanks for looking.

Rose
Here's a twinchie for the Show us your Twinchie Challenge week 3 where the theme is to use BRIGHT COLOURS.
What could be more bright in the garden than the English Rose? I've just stamped the Rose stamp in Jet Black Archival and then coloured with Pentel Brush Markers.
Thanks for looking!

Wet Feet
I came across a new Twinchies Challenge blog so thought I'd have a play. This is week 2 and the theme is SUMMER.
These are my first ever Twinchies - I had a few ideas until I cut some card to 2" square and then realised quite how small they are!! Anyway the lefthand one represents the summer we are having (walking in the rain) - I used Stormy Sky Distress Ink and Tim Holtz's Brolly Man stamp. The righthand one is the summer I'd like (paddling in the sea) - this is Salty Ocean Distress Ink and Crafty Individuals Bathing Beauty.
It's quite a challenge creating something so small and I can see it being addictive!! Thanks for looking.
