101 ways with the Block Frames Stamp

I was given the Block Frame stamp by Lynnda at Oak House Studio and asked to write a post about it.  As the great man himself would say, there are endless possibilities with this stamp......if you don't like faffing then there is a very nice Christmas version (on the right) but I saw the empty frame and thought it was very versatile - add an image, a sentiment, whichever way you like and it obviously frames your work.

Clean and simple, inky and messy, you can do whatever you choose.  All the details are over on the OAK HOUSE STUDIO blog so please go and take a look.  Meanwhile I'll leave you with a few cards.

Ok I admit I haven't made 101 cards but I hope you get the idea - you can use the stamp whichever way up you like and for whatever occasion - as they say, it's not just for Christmas!   All Stamps, Inks in a Bottle, Pigment Ink Pads and Embossing Powder is from OAK HOUSE STUDIO.

Thanks for looking and I hope I've given you some ideas for the Borders and Frames Challenge.

Mr Rudolf Reindeer

Had chance for a little play this afternoon so I've made a card for the Less is More Challenge week 185 where the theme is ANIMALS.

Well I don't have many animal stamps at all so thought I'd use this deer/reindeer stamp from Crafty Individuals (CI-332).  I've stamped him with Onyx Black Versafine and then watercoloured him with Aquash.  I got a bit carried away with his red nose....he now has a red muzzle!!  I just matted him on red card to match  his nose and then mounted it over a spray of Snowflakes (Oak House Studio) inked in Powder Blue Pigment Ink.   A quick and simple Christmas card with the addition of a sentiment at a later date.

Thanks for visiting and for your comments - they are much appreciated!!

Blue Christmas

I'm carrying on my campaign to make a few Christmas cards and this one fits Hels Sunday Stamper Challenge week 230 where the theme is BLUE.

I still had my Holographic Super Sparkle embossing powder on my table so thought it would be rude not to use it again!!   The main image is a PSX stamp - not sure what it's called, Snowy Village maybe - inked with Indigo Versacolor and then embossed.  The background is Oak House Studio's snowflakes stamp, again inked with Indigo and embossed.

Nice and sparkly for Christmas!!  Hope you like and thanks for looking!
