Oriental-style Clematis

Having another play with Oak House Studio Stamps - this time the Clematis Tower and the Oriental Textures.

The background is a mix of Pure Colour Chemistry - Citrus Lemon, Peters Pear and a splash of Jubilee Red - and I've stamped the Trellis and Serenity Prayer over this with Spring Green.  The Clematis Tower is stamped twice - once on the base for the tendrils, then again on white card and painted with a mix of Jubilee Red and Vintage Burgundy Pure Colour.  If you like what you see then these stamps are going to be featured on Hochanda TV on Wednesday 20th at 11am and 3pm.

I've decided to enter this in the Craft Stamper's Take it, Make it Challenge where the theme for January is ANYTHING GOES as long as it has some stamping somewhere!  There is still time to enter so why not join in.

Thanks for visiting !!

Clematis

Well it's dull, wet and windy here so thought I'd have another go at The Craft Barn's Alpha Challenge - Letter C.

I'm going to keep doing my ATCs but thought I'd use another dictionary to stamp in and create another alphabet book. I've chosen the word CLEMATIS and used Oak House Studio's Clematis Tower stamp. It's inked with Onyx Versafine and then coloured with Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush.

Anyway I do hope you like and thanks for all your kind comments!!

Red and White Clematis

My last Clematis Tower card for Lynnda's 24hr ONE STAMP challenge.

Quite an easy card to make - I just cut diagonally across the front of a red glossy card and backed this with white gloss (hides the back of the flowers when it's opened). I embossed the Clematis Tower stamp three times with China Red powder and then decoupaged them along the diagonal line. A striking card I hope you will agree!

Well thanks to Lynnda for a great challenge and for showing how versatile the stamp is. Hope you've enjoyed all the ideas and thanks for looking!!

Clematis Tower ...again!

Another card for the ONE STAMP 24hr challenge using the Clematis Tower stamp.

This one is embossed in silver and then painted with Pink Azalea Twinkling H20s. Don't you agree painting is very therapeutic and this stamp certainly gives you the opportunity to add colour to a card.

Thanks for looking!!

Distressed Clematis

Day 2 of the ONE STAMP 24hr challenge - Lynnda is still creating with the Clematis Tower stamp. It's my daughter's birthday today so here's a card for you Katie - hope you have a lovely day.

Just to show that the Clematis Tower can be used in a less than clean way, here I've used Distress Inks. Firstly I embossed the image in white and then blended over this with Worn Lipstick and Faded Jeans Distress Inks, and painted the leaves with Peeled Paint to give a little colour. I then used Faded Jeans to stamp around the edges to create a frame. I have to say this looks great on scrapbook pages too - because it's a big stamp (abt 5" high) you can use different sections to enhance the look.

Join in the fun if you have the stamp. If not, head on over to see Lynnda's (and other people's) creation on the ONE STAMP facebook page. Many thanks for looking.

Decoupaged Clematis

The Clematis Tower stamp is such a versatile one suitable for many occasions and styles. Here I've used 3 embossed images, painted with Aquash and decoupaged to create the main section and the bit behind the sentiment.

I've created a Thinking of You card, but it would look just as good embossed in gold maybe as a wedding card.

For further Clematis Tower ideas check out the ONE STAMP 24hr challenge.

Purple Clematis Tower

Here's a very simple card using the whole of the Clematis Tower stamp just painted with Twinkling H20s again. A bit of inking round the edges to create a frame and it would be perfect for a birthday, thank you, Mother's Day etc.

If you like the stamp, check out the ONE STAMP challenge to see other creations showing just how versatile this stamp is!!

Clematis ATC

Here's a quick ATC for the ONE STAMP 24hr challenge using the Clematis Tower Stamp.

I've used Brilliance Twilight for the background, silver embossed part of the Clematis Tower and then painted it with Twinkling H2Os. Again I've silver embossed the edges to create a frame.

Alcoholic Clematis

I know it's a bit early to be drinking but did you think these modernistic chefs had been making alcohol out of clematis flowers?? Wouldn't surprise me as they seem to make us eat more and more flowers!!

But no, it's just a card made for the One Stamp 24hr challenge using Oak House Studio's Clematis Tower stamp and alcohol inks.

You know the saying, don't buy a stamp until you can think of 5 ways to use it......well Lynnda at Oak House Studio has challenged herself to find as many different ways to use her Clematis Tower stamp this weekend. Check out the ONE STAMP page on facebook to find out more and see her creations. Ok everyone can make cards and the stamp looks great embossed, watercoloured, in pastels etc but it also looks great on Home items too.

If you have the stamp, join in. If not, please go look at her creations and leave her some encouragement!!

Clematis in Stitches

Well the ONE STAMP challenge is just over a week away so I've been rummaging in my cupboards to see what I can make. If you don't know what I'm on about then check it out HERE. Lynnda has challenged herself (and anyone else who'd like to join in) to show you over 24hrs (June 9th-10th) as many different creations as she can using just the Clematis Tower stamp.

I've used it on cards, with metal, with alcohol inks etc but thought I'd have a go at some stitching to make a change. I've stamped the Clematis Tower on some linen with Versafine and I intend filling the design with satin stitch. In my head this is going to look really good, but if I don't show the results next weekend it's probably because I'm out of practise as far as the sewing goes!!

Wish me luck!

One Stamp Challenge

Lynnda at Oak House Studio is undertaking a ONE STAMP challenge - 24hrs on 9th-10th June attempting to show you 101 ways to use the CLEMATIS TOWER stamp. Well maybe not 101, but as many as time allows!! It's such a versatile stamp that looks great on cards, but also frames, scrapbook pages, boxes etc etc.

The above is a sneaky peak of the Clematis Tower on metal - if you want to see more and find out how this was made, check out my post on Oak House Studio's blog.

Many thanks for looking!

Clematis Tower 2

I was sat looking at my first entry for the Less is More Sketch Challenge and whilst I love the black and white, I thought it needed some colour.

I used a Rose Carmine Aquamarker for the flowers as I love deep pink and turquoise as a colour combination and then added a little purple for the flower centres.

I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to enter the same card twice but it does give a different look. So which do you prefer??

Clematis Tower

Here's a card I've made for the Less is More challenge week 52 to match the SKETCH.

I've used the Clematis Tower and Thinking of You stamps from Oak House Studio; both embossed with Midnight Sparkle powder and added to the rectangular card. You can't really see the sparkle in the photo but it is there!!

Thanks for looking.
