Friends & Flowers

I got some new stamps recently so thought I'd have a play.  It's a collection of Dog Rose stamps from Oak House Studio  and for this card I've used the smallest corner.

The Dog Rose Corner is silver embossed and then painted with French Lavender and Peter's Pear Pure Colour Inks.  The backgrounds are both sprayed French Lavender ink and the card is just finished with a  Friendly sentiment.   I've made a few other cards with this stamp set but these are for the Hochanda show next Tuesday 17th.

I'm entering this is the Craft Stamper's Take It, Make It Challenge for May where the theme is Anything Goes.    Thanks for visiting and for leaving comments - they are very much appreciated!

Detail Embossing Powder

If you have ever wondered what the difference is between Standard Embossing Powder and Detail Embossing Powder then go take a look at my post on the Oak House Studio blog.

For the majority of embossing, standard embossing powder is good but for fine lined stamps, intricate patterns and fine lettering then you do really need to use Detail powder.   The card below shows a combination of both grades of powders - Detail for the wording and Dog Rose and then standard powder for the faux soldering frame around the edges.  For more information then please go take a look at my blog post HERE

Oak House Studio sell a great selection of embossing powders  with Detail powder in 100g jars for £10 - it'll last you forever!!

All Embossing Powders, Stamps, Pigment Ink Pads,  Ink in a Bottle Sprays,  Pipettes and Water Brushes that I've used in my post  can be found in the Oak House Studio Shop.   Why don't you go take a look and try some embossing!

Butterflies

May is turning into a butterfly month. I've just sent off some ATCs for the Craft Stamper's ATC swap on the theme of Wings and Things. Then yesterday I was asked to join in another ATC swap.... yes, you've guessed it on the theme of Butterflies. So I need to get my butterfly stamps out again and have another play.

The ATC above is another one I made last week - it's a Brilliance ink background with silver embossing. The main focus is the Oak House Studio Dog Rose stamp - a lovely detailed stamp that's a perfect size for ATCs but I have ideas to use it on some wedding stationary. The butterfly is a 7gypsies one.

Best go and start on some more butterfly ATCs! Thanks for looking.
