Orange Owl
Here's my 17th ATC for The Craft Barn Alpha Dictionary Challenge where the letter is O. Another week where there are a lot of Os but not many stood out for me.
I created an Oblong ATC from linen card, blended with Ochre Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink and stamped the Ivy Corner from Oak House Studio with Thyme Brilliance. I cut an Oval from Orange card and stamped the Owl on this from Chocolate Baroque's Birds of a Feather set - it's inked with Onyx Black Versafine and clear embossed to enhance the image. It's funny because I was actually doing Ornithology, but the only bird that would fit the oval sensibly was the owl....oh yes, that begins with O too!! So I went back to my dictionary and tore out the Owl definition and added the alcohol inked vinyl Thicker.
Unfortunately little other crafting has got done this week - no idea where the time goes - but I have made another ATC for A and Z for my cover which I'll show you another time. Meanwhile, thanks for looking and I'm off to see what everyone else has been doing!!

Butterflies
Here's my card for the Less is More Challenge week 119 - it's a ONE LAYER week using a COLOURED CARD BLANK.
It's absoloutely slinging it down with rain here consequently it's very dark and my base card looks a funny colour ...but it is bright yellow in real life!! I've used Oak House Studio stamps - the Ivy Corner is stamped in Emerald Green Archival and the Without Change and Charming Butterflies are stamped in Onyx Black Versafine. I've coloured the butterflies with Inktense pencils and a waterbrush.
I enjoyed creating this and having looked at it I may have got carried away and not left enough plain card. but I hope it will be OK. Thanks for looking and hope you all have a good weekend whatever you are doing!!

Spread your Wings
Here's a One Layer card for the Less is More challenge week 89 where the theme is WINGS.
Wings covers so many things - aeroplanes, birds, butterflies etc - so I went searching my stamps to find inspiration. I love this butterfly stamp from Tim Holtz's Fairytale Frenzy set so inked it with Vermillion Archival - a Red Admiral maybe!! I added the sentiment underneath then stamped the Ivy Corner from Oak House Studio in Thyme Brilliance. I'm not sure it's quite right but i'm going to blog it before I turn it into More than Less!!
Thanks once again for looking and for your comments - they are much appreciated!

Holly & Ivy
Here's my first christmassy piece of the season for Hels Sunday Stamper Challenge 179 with the theme of Christmas.

The stamps are Oak House Studio - the Ivy Corner and the spruce twig from the Christmas Collection. I had three attempts at the background using the holly mask from That Special Touch. Has anyone been successful with this? I found it was too thin and flimsy to be blended over and spraying inks just seaped underneath. Turning it over and trying to use the ink left on it didn't work either. I've used the small portion that did indeed look like holly!!
Not sure I feel any more christmassy but at least I've had a good rummage through my christmas stamps ready!!
