It's a PUFFIN!
Well I'm not feeling well or doing well on the crafting front - I have ideas but no inclination. However today I'd thought I'd enter the Less is More Challenge where the theme this 212th week is WINGS.
I was going to use my trusty owl but then remembered I had this Puffin stamp from Crafty Individuals - he's so cute!! Anyway I inked him with Onyx Black Versafine and coloured him with Tombow markers. I've just added some foliage to the bottom of the teal card using the edge of an Oak Tree stamp in 2 different greens and added the Hello.
Simple but striking I hope you will agree. Thanks for popping by and for leaving comments - they are much appreciated!!

And the winner is..
Good morning folks. Well my Giveaway has now ended and I'd like to thank you all for visiting my blog and leaving a comment or two over the last month.
I've spent 30 minutes trying to use a True Random Number Generator and all I can show you on here are lines of code.....not interesting. I'm not sure how you get the pretty box to show on here. So I'll just have to tell you that out of the 74 comments I received, the computer chose no 32 who is:
CHRISSIE
Congratulations Chrissie!! If you would email me at elaine@kettle.me.uk with your postal address I'll get your stamps on their way.

Tim's 12 Tags - February 2015
Here's my interpretation of Tim Holtz's Tag for February 2015 - if you don't know, then all the details can be found on his blog. This is the only challenge I do where I do try to copy the original but it's always fun finding alternatives to create with. For this one I had some Glue & Seal and an arrow!
The collage background is a mix of stuff - old music, dictionary and the February definition, an old seed packet, tickets and the mini playing card. I followed his instructions, added some stamping and outlined in orange to keep it bright!! I diecut a frame, added the felt heart (with staples, not sewing) and finished with the arrow etc. The heart hanging from the arrow and the playing card were both out of crackers - my family must think I'm barmy saving all these bits but sometimes they do come in useful.
I'm also entering this in the Vintage Journey Challenge where it's time to play Tic Tac Toe - I've used some of Tim's Idea-ology Arrows, the Ephemera is some Salvage Stickers on the collaged background and used Ripe Persimmon Distress Stain on the tickets and seam binding.
Collaged backgrounds are not really my thing but I have to say it came out better than I expected. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!!

The Craft Barn Calendar - February
Here's my February page for The Craft Barn's Calendar Challenge where the recipe is to use RED and HEARTS. Everywhere you look there are red/love/hearts challenges so it took a while to decide what to do that was a little bit different.
The background is a swooshy mix of Pickled Raspberry, Barn Door and Festive Berries Distress Inks and then I've inked through the Studio Calico Circle Graph Mask with Fired Brick to represent heart beats! The polymer clay heart is covered with Gold Dabber and I've finished with the Kaisercraft Lace stamp, the Hero Arts sentiment and the February calendar.
Apologies for the curling today - it really is 14cm square. The idea at the moment is to mount my squares on A5 card and then bind them all together at the end but just in case I change my mind, I don't want to stick it down.
I'm also entering this in the Craft Stamper magazine challenge - Take it, Make it - where for February the theme is stencilling.
Anyway thanks for looking and for your comments. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else does this month.
