Here's a quick tag for Hels Sunday Stamper challenge week 205 which has the theme of QUEEN and CROWNS.
The background is a mix of Stormy Sky, Dusty Concord and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks over a stamped Union Jack. Now last week the background was stunning...this week, not so good so I've tried to cover it up. There are some Hero Arts Castle Icons under the words, the crowns are Maya Road chipboard ones covered with Gold Dabber and I've just finished off with some eyelash fibres. And yes, I have put RAIN rather than REIGN....it's pelting at the windows again!!
Not sure I'm too happy with this one but I'm not going to have time to have another go this week, so I'm going to post it anyway. In my head this was going to be umbrella man turned into a queen with a crown on his head, a red velvet cloak with eyelash fibres for ermine and a gold umbrella!! Now that would have been good but....... thanks for looking!!

Isn't it frustrating when what is in your head doesn't appear in real life! Still, we learn from everything we do, and I for one really like the background. Hugs, Buttons x
ReplyDeleteYour tag in your brain sounds fab....if only we always had the time to see these things come to fruition!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteThe gold dabber on the crowns looks fabby though ;)
xoxo Sioux
I think the background is great - love the Union Jacks and your comment about the rain/reign made me laugh. If that is what a gold dabber can do then I must get one. We have had hailstones all afternoon! Anne x
ReplyDeleteI think the Union Jacks look good, how did you do that bit..,
ReplyDeleteI stamped your Union Jack stamp with Majestic Blue Versafine in keeping with the royalty theme and then added Distress Inks. Thanks for asking!! Why don't you join in the challenge??
DeleteAha, very clever... rain, yep tonnes of that stuff recently although at the moment, it is sunny! Thanks for joining in with the Sunday Stamper x
ReplyDeleteI Love the Background Elaine, fab Tag xx
ReplyDeleteLove the colour of the Union Jacks Elaine & at least you have crowns in yours unlike mine! Love the 'rain' sentiment. I struggled with time this week too & have stuck with mine though I wasn't sure about it. I don't know where the week has gone. Sx
