L for Leaves

Here's my next postcard for The Craft Barn's Alpha Dictionary Challenge 2016 where the next letter is L.   My chosen word is LEAF.

I've gone for a lemon background using Citrus Yellow Pure Colour and stamped the Sycamore and Mountain Ash leaves (from Oak House Studio's Lynnda's Leaves set) with Triple Meadow Green Pigment Ink to give an ombre effect.  I've gone around the edge with the ATC Linen stamp using the lightest green - lime!- and added the dictionary definition and L Thicker.

Quite a simple one this time but hope you like the bright yellows and greens.  Thanks for visiting and for commenting - they are much appreciated.

  6. Great leaves and I do like the colors quite a lot. It would certainly be easy to overdo this design and I think you've kept it just the right amount not too simple yet it's all about the leaves.
