A for Algebra
At last I've had chance to create my next postcard for The Craft Barn's Alpha Dictionary Challenge where the letter this time is A.....and no other twists thank goodness! I had a read of my dictionary and decided to go for ALGEBRA but including Arithmetic and Algorithms as well as Amethyst.
The amethyst background is sprayed with Waterfall and Precious Purple Pure Colour Inks and stamped with Purple and Orchid Pigment inks - the numbers from Tim Holtz and Log Tables from Oak House Studio. The Algebra (a maths joke I saw on Facebook) is written on some black chalk card with a white marker and I've finished with the dictionary definition and A Thicker as usual.
Hope you like and thanks for visiting. Any comments you leave are very much appreciated.

That's a gorgeous background colour. A clever choice of words and well depicted.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great interpretation of the theme Elaine, I love the background colour and your clever chalkboard! Anne xx
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy algebra when I was a school (many moons ago!). Love the whole construction and the strong background colour.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great word! This is really good. Very well put together.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this. As a former math major in college, I am suddenly ashamed that I didn't think of these. This is a wonderful postcard and it really, really spoke to me!
ReplyDeleteWonderful page! Best not show it to the young one as he'll have a fit, him and algebra are NOT best friends. Shame I loved it when I was his age...
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful amethyst colours and a great choice for "A". I see you have used that lovely numbers stamps, one of my favourites. The card is superb, I love this.
ReplyDeleteGreat postcard and fab words! I passed them on my way through the A's but had no inspiration for them! xx
ReplyDeleteAn inspired idea to include a maths joke to go with the theme, love it xxx
ReplyDeleteCertainly not a word that came into my head when thinking of one for the challenge, I hated algebra at school. Lovely background colour and a perfect choice of stamps.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab idea and interpretation. Great colours too :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful project, interesting choice! Thank you for entering The Craft Barn Challenge.
