L for Leaves
Here's my next postcard for The Craft Barn's Alpha Dictionary Challenge 2016 where the next letter is L. My chosen word is LEAF.
I've gone for a lemon background using Citrus Yellow Pure Colour and stamped the Sycamore and Mountain Ash leaves (from Oak House Studio's Lynnda's Leaves set) with Triple Meadow Green Pigment Ink to give an ombre effect. I've gone around the edge with the ATC Linen stamp using the lightest green - lime!- and added the dictionary definition and L Thicker.
Quite a simple one this time but hope you like the bright yellows and greens. Thanks for visiting and for commenting - they are much appreciated.

Red Pelargoniums
Well it's wet and wintry outside so I thought I would stay in and make a card for the Less is More Challenge week 263 - it's a ONE LAYER week and the theme is STEMS.
I decided to use this Pelargonium stamp from Chocolate Baroque's Flora and Fauna set - I've just stamped with Onyx Black Versafine and then coloured with markers and a water brush. It wasn't until I tried to colour it I realised how many stems this does have!! The sentiment is from Oak House Studio's Friendly Words set inked with Vermillion Archival.
Hope you like and thanks for popping by.....you are always welcome!!

F for Fairy
Here's my next postcard for The Craft Barn's Alpha Dictionary Challenge where the letter is F and we have to use a HEART somewhere. I had a read of my dictionary and had 3 choices - Fluorescent Flowers (did in 2013) or Fair Isle & Fabric but I've chosen to do FAIRY in a Fantasy Fairyland with Flora & Fauna and a Fence.
The background is Shaded Lilac Distress Stain and I've used a Lavinia Fairy set inked with Onyx Black Versafine, plus Orchid and Purple Pigment Ink to create the scene. I drew on the fence and some hearts and added a little sparkle to the wings and butterflies etc. It's just finished with the F Thicker and the dictionary definition as always.
Hope you like my fairy scene. Thanks for visiting and for your comments - they are much appreciated!!

The Undecided Bride
A Save the Date card made for the bride who hasn't decided what colour to have for the flowers and bridesmaid dresses for her wedding! Seriously it's a card made for the Less is More Challenge where the theme is WHITE ON WHITE. The challenge has been going 5 years now so congratulations to Chrissie and everyone involved.
I envy people who can do a classy white on white card so thought I'd have a go. I've used white leather look card for the base, white linen card and embossed with Holographic Super Sparkle powder to create a little texture. Stamps are from Oak House Studio - the English Garden Text, the flower outline from the Double Daisy set and Save the Date from the Wedding Words set. I've used silver card for the mat which could easily be changed to add colour.
I've also seen that the new Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge asks for text stamping - you may not be able to read it but I think it creates great interest on the background.
Thanks for visiting and for your comments - they are always gratefully received!!

DOUBLE DAISY ONE STAMP DAY 2
Here are a few more of my projects using the Double Daisy set. The first is a shrink plastic daisy pendant and gift card made using Powder Blue and Midnight Pigment Inks.
Next is a simple bookmark using the Large Double Daisy set and another shrink plastic daisy. This is a Citrus Yellow and Citrus Orange Pure Colour sprayed tag decorated with kiss stamping using the Triple Sunshine Yellows and Fruity Reds Ink Pads.
Next is a Wall Plaque painted with Acrylic Ink with an acetate daisy - I painted the back with a mix of Paris Pink and Citrus Yellow Pure Colour mixed into some Acrylic Medium.
For my next project I've decorated a plain kraft box file using the Double Daisy set stamped with Black Versafine, Sea Blue and Grass as Green Pigment Inks.
.
I've stamped the medium outline Daisy onto white vellum with white ink, blended some Orchid Pigment Ink behind them and stuck onto darker card.
Full details of all my projects (and those of the Design Team) are on the OAK HOUSE STUDIO BLOG and the INKSPIRED group on Facebook. If you have the stamp then do join in and please leave comments.....there are prizes to be won!!

Q is for QUEEN
The next letter for The Craft Barn Alpha Dictionary Challenge is Q.
Now I've been struggling with this as I did the challenge in 2013 and thought I'd use different words this time but no, I've chosen QUEEN.
To start I masked the background into Quarters, inked this with Tumbled Glass Distress and stamped over with a Triple Vintage Brown Pigment Ink pad. The stamps are Mini Calligraphy Set (The Artistic Stamper) Morocco (Kaisercraft) and the Queen from LPC008 (Paperartsy). I gold embossed the crown and some of the morocco pattern and managed to get the flash just on her crown!! It's just finished with the dictionary definition and the Q Thicker.
Hope you like and thanks for visiting!! I'm off to see what everyone else has created....

B for Biodiversity
At last I've had chance to make something for the year long challenge run by the Craft Barn - the Craft Barn Alpha/Dictionary Challenge 2016 where the first letter is B.
I really enjoyed doing this in 2013 when I chose to do ATCs including as many words as I could in addition to the dictionary definition used. This time I've decided to make it easier by using A6 card so a bit more space. For this one, my word is Biodiversity but I've included bees, birds and a blue sky!
I've used the Oak House Studio's Triple Sky Blues and Triple Meadow Greens for the background blending and stamping. The foliage stamps are Chocolate Baroque and the insects etc are from various Crafty Individuals sets. I've added the dictionary definition and a Thicker for the letter B.
Hope you like and thanks for looking!
